Isaiah writes that grain is both “seed for the sower and bread for the eater” (Isa 55:10). That is a wonderful description of the word of God. Those of us in ministry, whether teaching children in Sunday school, preaching to hundreds from the pulpit, or in one to one conversation, are dealing with truth that has first been food for us, the eater, and then seed for us, the sower, to plant into other peoples’ hearts.  What we have not first digested ourselves, will never be real enough to pass on to others.

The Truth Alive conference is designed to refresh the souls of those who minister, so that we are better able to minister in the strength of the Risen Christ.  Our theme this year, ‘The Reason for the Hope’ will enable us to look at the central importance of Hope – living with an eye ahead, doing so with reason and confidence.  Ravi Zacharias will serve us extremely well in these areas, together with a wonderful panel of seminar leaders who will draw from the richness of their experience – sometimes hard and tough experience – to help us appropriate hope.  And having eaten the seed, we can then sow it into other lives.  We look forward to having you with us,
